21. Introduction

Around here, we celebrate small and big achievements, and today we are celebrating the milestone of 1,000 followers on our Instagram Threads profile!

It's been 7 months since Agency was first launched, and I couldn't predict the amount of not only challenges but also growth that it would promote.

I'm pretty sure none of this would have been possible if the road so far wasn't supported by our incredible readers and creatives, and so, this issue is a huge thank you note to everyone who has been following our content, engaging and learning!

21.1 - Followers?

This perhaps might be a good occasion for a quick reflection.

Some influencers or brands have millions of followers on their social profiles, but what does that mean exactly? A stadium doesn't fit a million people, but the horizons of the digital dimensions are quite different, they know no true numeric limit, no geographic boundary and no communicational limit whatsoever.

But as a consequence, an additional million just becomes a bigger number in that little indicator that is on the top of every profile, we can't really grasp the image of what it means to be followed by millions and millions of people.

Because of that, it is perhaps impossible to be accessible to so many people. And so, the following becomes… just numbers even though there are real people behind every time the “follow” button is pressed.

I aim and hope to do things differently with Agency. As we grow, I want every single reader, follower and subscriber to be able to impact the way we are built with feedback that ought to be listened to.
